STRAIGHT JACKET
( Dufay )

Well... people in the world agree
They say hey... you got a strange vibration
They see me riding high
And rockin through the night
They try to tame... oh tame... my situation
My mind was in a rage
When I flew from the cage
It was a great day for aviation

So they put me in a straight
Oh straight... straight jacket
And they put me in a straight
Yeah straight... straight jacket
They put me in a straight
Yeah straight... straight jacket

Well I'm sitting on top of the world
And I say
It's such a great... oh great... sensation

I'm still riding high
And I'm out of their cage
And they don't know what to do
Don't know what to do
With my way

So they put me in a straight
Oh straight... straight jacket
And they put me in a straight
Yeah straight... straight jacket
They put me in a straight
Yeah straight... straight jacket

Note:
This song is autobiographical
because Dufay really was locked
up in a nuthouse in the past and he really was
put in a straightjacket.

What's more, he was locked up in a padded cell.
One way or another, one day he had an opportunity to run
away from the place so he jumped out the window. That's why it
mentions "aviation". Because of jumping from such a great
height he busted both of his legs.

If memory serves,
Tyler confirms it in his memoir.
What's more, it's no mistake
that no songs on this album finish with a fade out effect.

However, "Baby Now I" and "Straight Jacket" are one long song.
It was intended to be so, and it means that Dufay was put in a
straight jacket because of the woman from the previous song.
